How to use this calculator

Enter when you clocked in, the amount of work you need to complete and your unpaid break. The calculator shows the clock time at which you reach your target.

The calculation, explained

Departure = arrival time + target working duration + unpaid break duration. A result after midnight is labeled with the number of days crossed. It assumes one continuous workday and no daylight-saving adjustment.

WORKED EXAMPLE

Clock in at 09:00, work for 8 hours and take a 30-minute unpaid break. Your clock-out time is 17:30. A paid break should not be added as unpaid time.

Common questions

Should I include paid breaks?

Do not add them to the unpaid-break field. Your target work duration already includes time counted as work.

Does this handle split shifts?

For separate work periods, use the timecard calculator and enter each shift. This tool plans a continuous period with a total unpaid break.
